Want to learn to use that new recorder? Did you call in something to the hotline and now you want to edit it but don't know how? Do you want to record your band for the radio? Get website help? You can do all these things at Vocalo.org Open Studio Nights. For the next four Tuesdays (Oct. 20, Nov 6, Nov 13, Nov 19) we will open our studios at Chicago Public Radio, 848 E. Grand Ave to to Vocalo.org community from 5pm to 7pm. Experienced producers and technicians will be on hand to help you with your work. You can describe this partnership as two websites that had a common service: to help people promote their own music, news, and events and hear about the music, news and events of others. We wanted to combine communities to both amplify and diversify each community. By adding Vocalo.org, the users of “THAZWHAZUP.COM” will gain a radio station where they can promote their events and music to the entire Chicagoland region, over a tower that can reach 2.5 million people.

Vocalo.org is media YOU make and there are a lot of ways to make media. You can use your telephone to call in and leave us messages with your favorite stories. You can attend our "Make Your Own Audio" training's or use our online tips to learn audio production. You can upload videos, music, interviews, and commentary, all of which could end up on the airwaves during our live broadcast at 89.5 FM.
You can be Famous! You can be Heard! Vocalo.org is YOUR radio station, YOUR website, YOUR community. Vocalo.org is about US. We believe that public conversation can make US better citizens. We believe that all of US know better than just some of us. We think that the crowd is indeed wise, so we are turning it all over to you. That’s a big responsibility. Huge. But we know that you've got this covered.

We are heading in a new direction ... our concentration will be on our Christian audience. Where we will to look to provide the same services and features, but our focus is totally for CHRISTIAN-BASED unsigned artists, churches and their events and messages, businesses, books, etc.
So we are re-lauching soon and we hope that you will continue to show the love and support. Congratulations to our new staff and members for their hard work. Once again we are not shutting down the site, we are just focusing our audience for thazwhazup.com.
